JANET A. UETZ

With over 34 years of experience in Research & Development in the pharmaceutical industry, Janet Uetz brings a depth of experience gained in a large multinational organization covering investigational and marketed prescription and consumer products, which were regulated as drugs, cosmetics, devices or combination products.

Janet has extensive pharmacovigilance experience having served as the head of global consumer safety operations department and head of international pharmacovigilance at J&J. In these roles, Janet led major global organization transformation projects including an integration with another company involving a complete consumer product portfolio. Another significant PV system transformation included the synthesis of the consumer and pharmaceutical PV systems and staff in the local markets for efficiency and compliance.

Janet has also led PV teams through major product recalls, numerous health authority inspections and significant changes in regulation. 

In addition to her work in PV, Janet has led major R&D organizational change projects including a company name change for a global business, major remediation programs for compliance, and program management for Rx to OTC switch, and the development of New Chemical Entities for global marketing. 

Janet earned her Master’s Degree from Temple University in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs with her research project designing a governance process for global product labeling.
